Did you play any other instrument before you started playing bass? I started piano at age 7, and guitar at age 16

What’s your current band? MEGABABE

What’s your main bass? Spector NS-2

Fingers, plectrum (pick) or both? Both. Fingers mostly.

Have you played double (upright) or acoustic bass? yes.

What type of music do you play? Punk

Have you recorded/released any CDs? Megababe first album "Speak Japanese or Die"

Were you ever on a TV show? Yes, when I was a guitar player.

Do you play/own any other instruments? guitar and piano

Do you sing? Yes, backing vocal and sometimes lead vocals.

Does your band sing in English or Japanese? English.

How often does Megababe play live gigs? 2, or 3,or 4 shows /a month

Do you write songs? Yes. I wrote many songs in our CD.

Have you ever performed onstage without your bass? yes, I played guitar

Have you played outside your own country? Yes, played in the USA in 2002 and 2003 spring and fall and we go there again in November 2005.

What’s your opinion on basses with more than 4 strings? I'm interested in 5 strings...

What are your ambitions? I want to leave Japan.
