When did you first take a bass in
your hands? When I was 16 I played
guitar and I taught a friend how to play bass using my songs
What attracted you to playing bass?
when I was 18 that same friend gave me a bass, a tape, and a time and a
place to go try out for a band
Can you remember the first song you
ever learned on bass? Yea it was
called "Woke Up" written by me
What was your very first public
performance? When I was 18 with a
band called "The Skels" at a bar called Steal 'n' Time in Patchogue New
York.
What’s your current band?
Good Little Witch.
What’s your main bass?
Washburn, deep pink burst
What strings to you like best?
Depends on my mood and budget
What is your backline bass amp
setup? Fender head and Peavey bottom
Fingers, plectrum or both? Mostly pick
What type of music do you play? if I’m playing to my stereo I play
Subhumans, rancid, violent femmes. With my band I play a dark metal almost
gothic with a hint of punk.
Who do you listen to when
you’re not playing? Subhumans,
Rancid, Crass, Suicidal, Slayer(of course), Fiona Apple, Hole, Syd Barrett
and Roger Waters.
What was your best gig/venue ever?
hmmm that's a toughie I’ve played so
many great ones
What was your worst moment onstage?
I plead the 1-2-3-4-fiiiiifth!
Do you own any other instruments?
yea an Ibanez bass
What do you feel is the bass-players
function in a band? Keep it tight,
throw in some crazy fills.
Did you ever have a famous
person in your audience? Yea a sweaty Keanu Reeves wearin' nothing but
jeans and a smile... oh wait that was just a dream!
What are your ambitions? to
never stop
