When did you first take a bass in
your hands? May 1997
What attracted you to playing
bass? I don’t really know. Just
always kind of had an interest in the instrument.
Did you play any other instrument
before you started playing bass?
When I was a kid I played piano. Then I played rhythm section stuff like
bongos, shaker and tambourine in an acoustic band before picking up the
bass.

you ever learned on bass? U2 –
With Or Without You
What was your very first public
performance? My first public
performance as a bass player was April 13th 2001.
What’s your current band?
EXIT
What’s your main bass?
I’ve got two basses I use regularly. A Fender Jazz and a Fender Precision.
Body colour?
Jazz – Orange Sunburst; Precision – Blue
What strings to you like best?
Still Searching. Right now I’m
experimenting with Ernie Ball.
What is your backline bass amp
setup? Ashdown ABM500 Combo. I
have an endorsement with them.
Fingers, plectrum or both?
Both
What type of music do you play?
Rock
Who do you listen to when you’re
not playing? U2, The Beatles,
Radiohead, PJ Harvey, The Frames, Bjork and Peter Gabriel to name a few.
Have you recorded/released any
CDs? Have a four song EP.
What was your best gig/venue
ever? Played the U2 Celebration
at Cleveland Ohio’s Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.
What was your worst moment
onstage? Had a rented amp die on
me mid-show. Had to borrow someone else’s amp for the remainder of the
show.
What’s your favourite album/CD?
IMPOSSIBLE TO JUST NAME ONE!! But I Love U2, The Beatles and Radiohead so
anything by them is GOLD in my book!
What’s your opinion on basses
with more than 4 strings? GREAT!
Don’t own one but would like to someday.
What do you feel is the
bass-players function in a band?
To establish a bond between the melody and the rhythm and in so create a
groove underlining and highlighting the guitar and moving together with
the drums.
What are your ambitions?
Create great music and play it for a
living.
