When did you first take a bass in your hands?  1983

What attracted you to playing bass?  It was complete happenstance and fate of the Gods!I had just broken up with my boyfriend  Cheetah Chrome from The Deadboys. I got a note in my mailboz “Come to Los Angeles and play bass with us”. I thought the letter was meant for Cheetah but it was for me from a band that wanted a girl bass player. I told them that I didn’t play bass but they insisted that they could teach me. So off I went to the west coast (of USA) to learn and play bass. I slept for three months on a piece of foam at the foot of my cabinet and played constantly, day and night!

Did you play any other instrument before you started playing bass? Acoustic guitar

Can you remember the first song you ever learned on bass? Latin bass lines

What was your very first public performance? At a small club in Santa Monica, L.A. I was drunk and fell flat on my face.

What's your main bass? Gibson Thunderbird

What type of music do you play? Heavy

Who do you listen to when you're not playing? Stonerock and Doom Metal

What was your worst moment onstage? Falling down drunk first ever gig

What's your favourite album/CD?  Stooges / Raw Power; Sabbath / Vol. 4

Do you sing? Yes

Did you ever perform onstage without your bass? Sometimes sing only

What's your opinion on basses with more than 4 strings? Too much for me

What do you feel is the bass-players function in a band? The driver, the balls!

What are your ambitions?  To get off welfare (the dole).
