When did you first take a bass in your hands? 25 years ago

What attracted you to playing bass?
saw a girl playing bass with such passion, and had to try it.

Did you play any other instrument before you started playing bass?
violin, viola, piano,guitar

Can you remember the first son
g you ever learned on bass? it was a rockabilly song I think by Robert Gordon

What was your very first public performance? my first gig playing bass out live was with a band called Bratz at a club called Desert Moon,Dallas,Texas.

GHS Bass Boomeers (Always!!) med. lites

What is you
r backline bass amp setup? right now I'm not crazy about it. Its a 4x10 David Eden XLT cabinet, and a Galien Krueger 250 watt head. The ohms don't match up right on the search for a smaller combo amp. Love the Ampeg Rocket Combo (cool blue color) great sound with the Ernie Ball Sterling.

What type of music do you play?
eclectic indie folk rock

Who do you listen to when you’re not playing?
Bandmates , Killers, Tom Petty, Iz , Bob Dylan are in Cd player now

Have you recorded/released any CDs?

What was your best gig/venue ever?
probably the Bowery in NYC for the New Music Festival.

What was your worst moment onstage?
when our drummer threw a drumstick at our guitar player! (I think we broke up right after that)

What’s your favourite album/CD?
Rubber Soul / The Beatles

Do you own any other instruments?
a long list. 72 Fender Telecaster Bass, Godin Acousticaster Bass, Washburn Acoustic Bass, Playmate Dean Markley Bass (camping guitar) Reisling Upright Bass, Skold 5 string, Fender Stratocaster Guitar, Elektra Guitar, 12 String Fender Coronado 1968, Fender Acoustic Guitar.

Do you sing?
yes

Did you ever perform onstage without your bass?
sometimes I switch to guitar for a few songs.

What’s your opinion on basses with more than 4 strings?
Just not crazy about them. I like the way I can play an E chord of the low E string.

What do you feel is the bass-players function in a band?
to keep the time and groove.

Did you ever have a famous person in your audience?
Supposedly there was an Atlantic record exec in the audience at the Roxy in LA but nothing transpired. My Bandmate Kimberly Cody is almost famous.

What are your ambitions?
to be sure to have fun while playing and making music with people I enjoy. If I make it bigtime I will enjoy that too!
