Louise Burns (Canada)

Louise Burns began her musical journey at age 4 when she took up piano lessons. After playing for a number of years, she joined Lillix (then called Tigerlily) and began playing bass as well as being one of the three lead vocalists/songwriters. After four years of playing together in their hometown of Cranbrook BC, Lillix was signed to Maverick records in 2001, releasing their debut album two years later. Their new album is tentatively scheduled to be released early next year. She is self-taught, and influenced by players such as Paul McCartney, Simon Gallup and Peter Hook.
